How to add a Generic OLT?
Before adding your Generic OLT, you need to register its Model (Hardware Version) and its Software Version — these options aren't preloaded for generic equipment, so you create them once and they'll be available for all your OLTs with that model afterward.
In this article
Create the Model (Hardware Version)
1 Go to OLT > OLT List and select the Settings button.

2 On the Hardware Version tab, select Add.

3 Fill out the form:

- Model: the name you'll use to identify this device (e.g. your OLT's actual model name).
- Image: a representative image of the device (required).
4 Save the form.
Create the Software Version
1 Go to the Software Version tab and select Add.

2 Fill out the form:

- Model: select the one you created in the previous step.
- Version: your OLT's software/firmware version.
3 Save the form.
Important
The Model must be created before the Software Version: this form will ask you to choose an existing Model.
Add the OLT with the Generic model
1 Go back to OLT > OLT List and select Add OLT.

2 Fill out the regular creation form. In the Model field, select the one you created in Create the Model.

Information
By choosing that Model, the system automatically recognizes the OLT as Generic and enables the Scripts and Queries system instead of the fixed logic used by other brands.
3 Save the form.
The next step is to create a Script and a Query for your Generic OLT.
