Recurrent Errors AdminOLT

ONU eliminated only from AdminOLT and not from the OLT.

If you remove the ONU from the authorized list but not from the OLT (it is possible to remove the ONU only from AdminOLT and leave it authorized in the OLT), when trying to authorize that equipment again on another port it will not be possible, as the OLT already has the SN registered.

Solution

1-. Go to the list of Imported ONUs

2-. Import the ONU

3-. Go to the list of Authorized ONUs

4-. Remove the ONU from AdminOLT and OLT

For more information on how to import an ONU, consult:How to Import ONUs to AdminOLT

I changed the ONU port but it doesn't let me authorize

If you change an ONU port without editing this information in AdminOLT, the system will detect that it is an unauthorized device (this is due to how ONUs are detected in an OLT) even if the device is authorized in AdminOLT and the OLT.

Solution

1.- Update the information of the ONU in AdminOLT

For more information on how to change the ONU port:Change ONU Port

I deleted an ONU from my OLT but it is still authorized in AdminOLT

Warning

If you work with AdminOLT when you delete a device, you must always do it from the system, as if you delete a device from the command line it could cause conflicts with the information in the system.

If you manually delete the ONU from your OLT, the system will not delete the record that is authorized, so you will have to delete the ONU from AdminOLT in order to authorize it again.

For more information on how to delete an ONU, consult:Delete ONU

I try to authorize an ONU to the system and it is not found within the OLT

This error usually occurs when the ONU model was not successfully exported to the OLT.

Other times, it is because the bandwidth of the PON port is no longer available.

Solution

1.- Go to the ONU Models list

2.-Select the ONU

3.- Export to the OLT

I try to import an ONU and it shows error due to not having a service port

In AdminOLT, it is important for ONUs to have a service port. If the ONU does not have one, the system will not allow the user to import it.

Solution

1-.Go to the "Import ONUs" list

2-.Select the ONU to delete

3-.Click on "Delete ONUs from OLT"

Then go to the list of Unauthorized ONUs and there you will find the ONU that you just deleted, and proceed to authorize it.

You will notice that the ONU now has a Service Port

Error: Duplicate Key Value

This error generally occurs when the ONU is unauthenticated directly from the OLT command line and is not deleted from the system.

When the authorization process is carried out, the OLT locates the next available service port, but that service port is already in use in AdminOLT.

To resolve this error, you can follow these steps:

1-. Click on the link shown in the error message

2-.Select a solution.

By clicking on the link, you will be redirected to a view where you can

1.- Delete the ONU from AdminOLT: This action will delete the conflicting ONU from AdminOLT.

2.- Synchronize the ONU information in AdminOLT with the OLT information: This action will update the service port based on the information obtained from the interface.

If you choose to delete the ONU from AdminOLT. Click on the following button

Then the conflicting ONU will be deleted from AdminOLT.

If you decide to update information from the OLT. Click on the following button

Then the service port will be updated based on the information obtained from the interface. For example: 0/11/0:13 (Board/Slot/Port:ONU INDEX)

Error trying to add ONU to port 0/0/4: The bandwidth is not enough

This error occurs when the bandwidth on the PON port is fully occupied. Or when the PON port has reached its limit of ONUs, meaning 128 clients connected.

In order to continue authorizing ONUs, it is necessary to enable a new PON port or remove the ONUs that are not being used in the port where bandwidth is no longer available.

Your OLT exceeded the response time

This error occurs when the OLT stops sending responses to the system through the SNMP protocol we use in the system, this does not affect if the connection to the system is via VPN or public IP, the response is the same for both cases.

One possible solution would be to restart the OLT to establish a connection again without response delays.
