Why were my Onus deleted from my OLT?

If for any reason your OLT suffered a reset or unexpected blackout and did not save the information, it is likely that the ONUs will be removed from the OLT and appear pending registration again, even though they are registered in AdminOLT.

How can I save my records?

One way to mitigate this problem is to periodically save the configuration of your OLT, which can be done from AdminOLT using the "Save Configuration" function to ensure that the changes are saved.

If for any reason you notice that the information is not saved despite this, you should physically validate the hardware of your OLT to ensure that no component has been affected and is causing you inconvenience. Sometimes, the issue may arise because some OLTs require a CR2032 battery.

You can find these batteries on your Huawei MA5680T and MA5800 OLT controller card, as well as on V-SOL GPON and EPON OLTs. If you notice that you do not have the battery, it may be the source of the problem. If the battery is damaged, you can replace it with a new one.

How can I restore my ONUs?

In AdminOLT, there is a section called "Export ONUs to the OLT" where ONUs that are not in the OLT but only in the system are listed; this way, the ONUs will be added and will have the service.

 

IMPORTANT

The export of ONUs will only be done when the ONUs are physically in the same interface as shown in AdminOLT; if they are not in the same interface, they will be removed and will not be authorized, so you will have to authorize them again in the system.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended to download an Excel file of the list of authorized ONUs as a backup in case any issues arise with the ONUs in the system. This can be done from your panel.

Notice

AdminOLT does not perform automatic removal tasks of ONUs. These actions can only be performed manually through the system.
